2009 Corolla S, 5 speed.

45K miles
FULLY LOADED, only missing leather and the 6 speed transmission that is stock on the Matrix XR-S.

Needs a cut and buff, but otherwise its mechanically sound, I'm the second owner.

Very nice! If you are going to compare it's "loaded"ness to an XR-S you are also missing .6 litres.;)

Oh, I didn't even notice you had put Matirx. I was thinking Corolla XR-S, sorry! Same 2.4L either way.

05/06 Corolla XRS = 170hp 2ZZ and a 6 speed

-but you don't see a lot of them for sale, there are XRS versions of your chassis but they're like 158?hp and 5 speed manual or auto only

TRD makes a s/c for yours :)

This one takes 87? I know the 'Gaytrix' as my friend calls his, the XR or whatever the high package is takes 91+. His is base model, and automatic, and the thing is touchy as fuck. You have no choice but to drive like an asshole. At all times. 5 speed would make it exponentially better.

Nice car buddy. What's first? A height alteration?

ipod integration. remote start is out, i dont want to carry an extra keyfob with me.

it takes 87 octane, it says so on the gas cap.

but otherwise i plan to do nothing. maybe tires, brake pads, and thats it. i have to learn to shift this thing, it just cannot be shifted as fast as the mirage. i really like the cluster HUD, which shows all sorts of neat stuff like MPG, average MPG, clock, mileage left on the tank, etc.

it handles well, nothing like the mirage but much better than most stock cars i have driven.

Mirage still at the dealership, bringing it back home tomorrow. i think it is sold :)

i don't mind it. i'm having a hard time getting used to the size of the car. its fucking HUGE compared to the mirage and escort.

the headlamps are super bright and the fogs light up the sides of the road for miles. visibility in the car is great also. just wish it was more fun to drive.

I hear ya. It's a gradual change so it's easy to forget. The new Civic sedan seems to be roughly the size of the 80s Accord and it dwarfs the EF...I wonder why fuel mileage has barely improved (or not at all) in the last 20 or so years, despite drastic advances in engine technology
