Obamacare-The New World Order

The answer is that Obamacare wasn’t designed to help healthy people with average incomes get health insurance. It was designed to force those people to pay more for coverage, in order to subsidize insurance for people with incomes near the poverty line, and those with chronic or costly medical conditions.
force those people to pay

It all comes down to sticking a gun in the ribs and lifting the wallet.

Someone posted this in comments on yahoo.....genius.....lol

'Twas the night before the default, and all through the White House
Not a creature was working, not even his spouse;
No stockings were hung by the chimney with care,
because Michelle and the kids were in Hawaii spending 7 million there;

The Obama voters were nestled all snug in their beds,
While visions of free cell phones danced in their heads;
And mamma with her free healthcare, and unemployment benefits with no cap,
Had just settled down for a free winter's nap,

When out on the lawn there arose such a clatter,
I sprang from the bed to see what was the matter.
Away to the mail box I flew like a flash,
Tore open the mail and got my free cash.

The welfare check hadn’t got wet in the snow
Obama was still passing out free dough,
When, what to my wondering eyes should appear,
But a sign I must not work, at all of next year,

With a Socialist driver, so conniving and quick,
I knew in a moment he was their Saint Nick.
More taxes for the working and spending pretty much insane,
and he whistled, and shouted, and called them by name;

"Now, Daschle! Now, Boxer! Now, Franken and Reid!
On, Pelosi! On Feinstein! On, Baucus and Biden!
over the debt ceiling! No spending fire wall!
Now tax away! Tax away! Tax away all!"

Insurance marketplace to unveil mural in New Haven - Times Union

NEW HAVEN, Conn. (AP) — Connecticut's health insurance marketplace is unveiling the first of three community murals it has commissioned to highlight health and wellness.

Lt. Gov. Nancy Wyman is scheduled to be on hand for a community festival on Saturday at the Stetson Branch Library in New Haven, where the mural is located. Representatives from the marketplace, known as Access Health CT, will be available with information about the program. Open enrollment began on Oct. 1.

Other murals were also commissioned in Bridgeport and Hartford.

Also Saturday, Access Health CT is launching a Hispanic supermarket tour. Representatives will appear at the C-Town Supermarket in East Hartford. Hispanics are considered to be among the state's most uninsured residents.

Access Health CT will also be at festivals and farmer's markets in Stratford, Meriden and Torrington.

I am so glad my tax dollars are going to that stupid mural. I wish Foley had gotten in.

Just got open enrollment notice from work today...They are not dropping us this year....they are sticking to being committed to offering us healthcare benefits...however they did eliminate all the existing plans with news ones which i haven't check out yet

i haven't checked the rates yet...waiting to see...i pay $52/month for health/vision/dental...$750 deductible...

hopefully this does not increase

You make enough money that they'd be screwing you if they dropped the group. You wouldn't get all the nice subsidies that make the plan worthwhile for low earners.

Those situations will force employers to keep group policies for higher earners/skilled workers that can command the premium and benefits.

I wouldn't even look at an employer if they didn't offer a competitive salary, 401k match, health insurance and disability.

same, disability optional... it wouldn't be a deal breaker, but its nice to have and I do have it.

funny as hell because its true

Daily Kos: Obamacare will double my monthly premium (according to Kaiser)

Obamacare will double my monthly premium said:
My wife and I just got our updates from Kaiser telling us what our 2014 rates will be. Her monthly has been $168 this year, mine $150. We have a high deductible. We are generally healthy people who don't go to the doctor often. I barely ever go. The insurance is in case of a major catastrophe.

Well, now, because of Obamacare, my wife's rate is gong to $302 per month and mine is jumping to $284.

I am canceling insurance for us and I am not paying any fucking penalty. What the hell kind of reform is this?

.......

The affordable health care act never said it would be affordable for all. My plan has been going up for the last two years due to obama care

In times when there is not a lot of discretionary income lets take more of people's money so they have less to put back into the economy.

I think it's great people are finally realizing what a scam it is. Even some of my more liberal college student friends are reevaluating their opinions. My friends who work for a living already knew.

My employer provider coverage went up $5 for 2014. Same (shitty) coverage. But I'm paying into my HSA less this year so it's a net decrease in how much I'm paying per paycheck.

$1500 ded in-network / $3000 ded out
80/20 coverage after ded
100% covered after out of pocket maximum ($4000 in / $8000 out)

In 2013 my employer contributed $500 to my HSA because I'm a healthy non-smoker
In 2013 I contributed $1000 to my HSA (paid biweekly from my paycheck)
I used maybe $200 from my HSA, but I'll use maybe another $500 for glasses.
In 2014 my employer will contribute another 500
In 2014 I will contribute another $500.

It covers my deductible.

government insurance sucks.

I have 0 deductible, 100% payouts, just 25/50/100 copays. of which I have an hsa to pay for. costs me $60 bi monthly

my employer is not the gubment. I'm a contractor. i forgot to add on that i have Dental HMO, so at least thats free lol. and my local dentist, that ive gone to since i was a kid happens to be in-network.

and i think you mean bi weekly. bi monthly = every 2 months.

i (will) pay about $80/check with my HSA contribution. without it is about $60.
