All participants in a capitalist system derive the greatest net benefit if each of them acts specifically for their own interests.
If people concern themselves with making sure that everything is as fair as possible, less time is spent making sure every venture is as successful as possible. This yields a society with a lower common denominator; the whole give a man/teach a man philosophy.
If a man's earned wealth is no longer sacred, he loses incentive to earn that wealth, and will eventually stop, while those that have not earned that wealth, will not start or try to earn any, in anticipation of some of the first man's wealth being given to them. What we then have is a nation full of people not concerned with the excellence that drives the technological and social change that makes us great and allows us to remain competitive.
Whether you like to admit it or not, corporations are not engaging in research purely for their own good. All things are done for a profit. It is NOT evil. It's capitalism. This isn't a society designed to support forced charitable giving. Your outputs will only be as great as your inputs. There are few exceptions to this.
I'm sick of hearing broke underachievers whining about how unfair everything is and how their life would be better if someone wold help them. News flash dick, your life sucks because of YOU. No amount of government handouts or help from the wealthy will ever alter the fundamental flaws in your personal behavior and mindset that have made you the worthless slob you are.

Sabz forgets that near if not 100% of the technological and scientific advancement that he embraces so heavily was initiated and perpetuated by someone seeking excellence with the glimmer of profit in their eyes. I guaran-fucking-tee that tech and bio-tech companies are NOT making advancements out of the kindness of their heart, solely for the good of man.
In order for a business to REMAIN IN BUSINESS, they have to be profitable, not charitable. You can only be giving if you are successful. Therefore, it is natural that profitability MUST take priority over "redistribution". You have to have something to give something. If you think that profit has not been the driving factor in every advancement we have made, the ones that I should "stand up and look around the room" at, then you are living in a dream world.
