the man won by a large margin. we shouldn't bash him, we should bash ourselves if anyone, for we are all americans and have all had some bit part in the three ring circus that is our foreign policy, current economic situation, and energy policy by not making our voices heard early enough in the leadership selection process. the election process is designed to allow the american people to choose their leadership on a regular basis.
you bitchers and moaners, did you attend rallies? did you invite your peers to attend with you? did you participate in the presidential primaries? did you take part in your local government elections? are you fully engaged in defining the leadership of our nation from your district all the way to the national level? if you didn't like the choices you had at any of those levels, did you run for office? better you than someone you despise, right?
if you don't like the choice made yesterday, do more in the next four years to educate those around you and bring up them up to speed on why you are so sure this is not the direction our nation needs to be going.
i don't blame the republicans that voted dem, their confidence in their own party's leadership is badly shaken, and they didn't want more of the same. i don't blame the dems for voting dem, because that's what they do -- and, as democrats go, obama isn't the worst option they've tossed onto a presidential ticket. i don't blame the third party people for voting however it is they voted, because they hopefully voted their conscience, which is what we should all be doing.
that was how the system was intended to be used but somehow we've turned it into a football match with two teams that we've only managed to pick the jersey colors of. and then we hear the bitchers and moaners go on and on about how their team didn't win, and then the fingerpointing starts.
i'm pointing my finger at you.
