Hey. I have a 1993 honda civic CX hatch with a h22a JDM motor in it. Its an OBD1 motor. Long story short i fried the shit out of this one dont ask how. So i ordered a new one. Totally spacing the fact that it would be OBD2 forgetting about distributor bullshit and what not.

moving right along to my question
will the H22a Type S work with my obd1 wiring setup and my p13 ECU?

it should as long as you convert the necessary componenets on the engine to obd1. i'm doing the same swap into a 91 dx hatch and thats what i was told but im gonna run mine on a p28

H22A Type S into 1992 Accord

I'm trying to help a friend who's swapping a H22A Type S JDM motor into a 1992 Accord.

He's come up with a wiring problem connecting the "Magic Box" (his description). The JDM motor has it mounted directly to the intake manifold, whereas the stocker has it mounted externally and several vacuum lines attached.

How does he work around this problem?
