Use an Si harness and an Si Ecu for the easier way.
I'm not sure how the obd2a interior green harness compares to the obd2b

just use the 98 harness and then use the clips that are not on the 98 harness from the b16 harness. I did a obd2a into my 2000 ex and we used my obd2b harness and just use a conversion harness from obd2b to obd2a. works perfectly.

Well yea, he knows you can use an obd2b harness, he said he doesn't want to do that though.
If the interior green harness is the same for obd2a and obd2b (i have no clue), just plug it all in?
The 98 ex obd2a engine harness is going to plug into the obd2a b16 ecu just fine, I'm just not sure about that green plug, sorry i can't help more.
