front end work
That thing is awesome.
hooooly moly that's a Forward Motion engine !
And that body work is factory Mopar
even the hood scoop thing?
Yup. All Mopar stuff from the dealer
It wasn't for the Rampage, but it was for the Shelby.
Shelby did a bunch of shit for Dodge in the 80's
If only the friggin Omni GLHS' came in 2 doors....that would be sweet
Hmm.. never realised that. I thought they did.
How about the Dodge Charger Technica edition ? That thing was NEAT.
i remember seeing a thing on tv with Carol Shelby talking about the Dodge Omni GLH. he said the GLH was short for "goes like hell". i shit you not, thats what he said...LOL
i almost bought a shelby charger for my first car, it was mint. but it got sold before i got down there with the cash
That is because thats what it REALLY stands for. The GLHS' is basically one of the sweetest econoboxes ever produced. Carroll Shelby bought only 1,000 of the already limited-production GLH models and upgraded them with Koni adjustable shocks and struts, 15" Goodyear Gatorback tires, and modified the engine to reach Turbo II specs of 175 hp! These cars are known as the 1987 GLH-S, and look much like an upgraded '83 Shelby Charger, with again the tape decor, and this time major performance modifications. It was a 2-door coupe only in black with grey interior.
btw.... the only dyno I have seen of one of those stock was 163hp on the ground.
GLHS= Goes Like Hell Some More...
I have a friend with a 10 second K car...
Another with an 11 second shadow..
That rampage pictured is far from stock...
That is not a stock rampage front clip. It is a Shelby Charger front clip. Same Body "per say"...
The motor is also not the original motor. The '84 Rampages came with either Carb'd motors, or if it had the turbo motor, it would have been the Log Intake Manifold, not the t2 pictured.
It also has typical T2 Hackjob wiring upgrades...
That does have a strange valvecover though... Its a CHRYSLER turbo valve cover... Usually they just say TURBO, or Shelby Turbo... I dont think I've ever seen a CHRYSLER turbo valve cover.
If anything, the spare rampage parts he's throwing in are worth some ching...
I'm forwarding this link to a buddy of mine... He might pick it up... Although Forward Motion is fair at best.
