the SR-71 is by far my favorite plane. unclassified speed of mach 3+. my father spent quite some time in the USAF, and had clearance to classified info, and from what he tells me, its a lot of plus . gotta love a plane that never got shot down because it can simply outrun anything shot at it. and the thing grows when it gets up to speed (heat from air resistance), the whole plane seals up and wingspan increases by a few inches if i remember correctly.

yep, thats why it has to refuel as soon as it gets in the air. pretty much a worthless plain IMHO. but still cool none the less.

it's only designed to lift off the water 4 feet...to evade radar, carry a lot of troops, and land at our front doorstep to attack us...thank god it was never used....
