My check oil light stays on for around three seconds when the car has been siting for a while. In other words, all other lights on dash including the srs and check engine are off and the oil light stays on and horrifies me. Is it because it needs to build up pressure? or what? The light never comes on while driving, and I don't remember it staying on for that long.
 
did you check your oil??? :lol: damn could blow up. if it is fine then you have a bad sensor or if the oil leaks repetaly then your sensor will notice this and cause the light to go on. or it could be the wires for it or if you are lising pressue witch most motors have a sensor close to the oil filter then that would cause it.
 
Oil level is fine, although it might be too high since there is about a millimeter above the filled line.
