oil pressure gauge reading wrong

hey guys i just installed an oil pressure gauge and it's reading pass 100psi right when i turn the car on. it's a brand new autometer. i dont have the gauge hooked up to the ground near the sender but i have the sender grounded by wire to the firewall. anyone else had this problem? the senders hooked up to a stealthmode firewall kit, on the T. it stays at constant 100psi, doesn't change when i gas, idle, whatever...

electric's actually pretty accurate without having to worry bout oil in the face

Mine stays at 100 for a while. Then once the cars warmed up and if I'm stopped (at a light or whatever) it'll drop down to 25.


Also, once the cars warm, it'll hang out at 75 if I'm just cruising on the highway....get on the gas, back up to 100

you would only have to worry about oil in hte face if your a moron and dont do a quality job on the install
