2000 Mustang Gt

2000 Eclipse Spyder

2000 Jetta 1.8T

Maybe a used SVT Focus

Those would be my choices for $12K
[post=417437]Quoted post[/post]

Good choices.

I love my friends 2002 Jetta GLS (I'd try to go for a 2001/2002+ for the 180hp 1.8t engine) brakes and handles amazingly for a stock car at that price.

I dont know if I'd go with the eclipse spyder, especially not if it wasnt a GST.

SVT Focus is pretty cool.

Can't go wrong with the Gt.

I'd also suggest a Subara Impreza 2.5RS for its AWD and moderate power (good for mid 15's stock)

or the Mazda 3 or the Mazda Protege 9whatever the turbo one is)

I'll try to think up some more.

I think the Subaru Impreza 2.5RS is great for a 'family' car. They can be hard to come by so it drives the price up incredibley, but theres 4 door sedans available, it could make an awesome car for autocross, gets 28mpg, and is moderately fast stock.

I've seen some pretty sick 1.8Ts

anyways about the 280Z 2+2 any of the 70-89 Zs that were 2+2 looked like TOTAL ASS
I love datsuns but you couldnt PAY ME to drive a 2+2
the only ok looking Z they have in 2+2 form is the last gen 300ZX

around here 12k for a 2000 GT is pushing the limits... the one i looked at was 15k.

fuggers

I'd probably buy another Escort for 1000ish, do a JDM 1.8L GTX swap, upgrade the turbo, suspension, etc etc.

2005 Kia Rio Sedan
MSRP $9,850
Air Conditioning $800
AM/FM/CD Stereo $425
Rear Spoiler $300
Carpeted Floormats $70
Total Options $1,595
Destination Charge $540

Total MSRP $11,985

there ya go.... brand new car with $15 to spare

Hmmm... 4 seats and 2 doors.... 97 Civic EX ($6500)... 5500 bucks for new suspension anyone? Use your next paycheck (if you work at all) for an intake, and the paycheck after that for exhaust. You're set for a daily driver.

i care... because? KBB on them last march was 14,500 with the normal mileage for a 4 year old car. That's better for me buying it, as with the Si i'd keep it until it died, and then I'd drop in a 351windsor or some shit... so I could care less about resale.

that's why i'm buying a new mustang gt (05) when i graduate. they'll be a bit less when i'm out of college.

Becuase you said
around here 12k for a 2000 GT is pushing the limits

I just wanted to show that for a used mustang you could find a handful of GTs for under 12K most of the GTs listed were dealership cars. keep in mind if he bought from a private he could get it a good bit cheaper so shit a 2000 GT for 10K isnt unheard of.

12K pushing it? hardly

I don't live in mary faggot land, so what you can find around you doesn't mean shit to me.

;)

Gentlemen... keep it civil. And remember, the listed price doesn't include sales tax, title transfer fees, bank fees, etc.

And I've only been a car salesman a week... don't I sound educated? ;D

Theres one for sale in Virginia on honda-tech.com for $6800. The guy put about $15k worth of parts/work into it since he got it.

You have 12k to spend on a car. You want to spend almost all of it on the car itself, so no saying "a civic and a motor swap". You want something small, with good handling and gas mileage, with 4 seats.

What do you buy, and why?
[post=417302]Quoted post[/post]

my buddy got a 2000 audi a4 with a system, all options, set of reg rims and a set from italy with like 40k miles for 12k

find one: chip intake and diverter valve and you have a fun quick high 14 second car

Get VW TDI and chip the mofo. 50 mpg and running 14.5s ownsj00
