Any +'s of opera over firefawks?

some people like it...

i still like firefox better, but if it was between ie and opera, it wouldn't even be a decision :)

its personal preference at this point, mozilla/opera.

i used opera before i found firefox, and i just like the interface of firefox better.

Sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet

Firefox still > Opera

But Opera is still a badass third party attempt at a browser. I'm just waiting for Google's version.

Just downloaded a new Firefawks skin . . . not willing to part with this browzer just yet after viewing the opera screen shots.

security vulnerabilities. making a conscious effort to promote lazy web development instead of sticking to standards. lots of things really.

google's version will probably be like MSN explorer. hell, google toolbar only works in IE... thats the one thinkg that google sucks about.
hell, their gmail is a joke.
sure, the service is great, but the coding behind it won't work in half of the browsers out there and uses M$ only code.

http://slate.msn.com/id/2103152/

hell, even UNIVERSITIES are telling its students to not use IE anymore:
http://www.engr.colostate.edu/ENS/web/dontuseie/

here's a good one: ie doesn't support png graphics as they should...
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?...kb;en-us;294714

so, M$ suggest yet ANOTHER proprietary "hack" using filters...

and there's about 34234323432323 other websites that will tell you similar things. do a google search.

Hmm. GMail works fine in FireFox for me.

I guess we'll see what happens with G Browser- wait for it to come out, and if it sucks- I won't use it. I'm sure enough of the techie community would bitch so that they would change it to meet standards.

works in firefox, sure.

uses frames, which are not accesbile on other devices like pda's, screen readers for the blind, and so forth...

i could go on and on....

:shrug2:

Whatever. It shows up fine in my FireFox. Your average user isn't pulling apart code warnings to see if a page is 100% perfect.

your average user is blind, either.

but you can't shut them out... especially on a global service like google.
