That seems to be a pretty low price for having a red VC.:D But why not call him ask him some questions about it and maybe go look at it. It may be a legit deal that youll regret not jumping on later.

Is it still in the car? Chances are being a used swap its been beaten on pretty good. I'd want to hear it run and compression test it.

You didn't find that on Craigslist by chance, did you Chaz? Are you able to go look at it? I mean heck, it seems like a damn good deal, but personally I wouldn't mind taking a drive myself if I lived in the same state. I am very much willing to travel. Just ask 94H_EX I believe is his name. I drove a total of eight hours to him and back just to get a set of LS Webs. :D

the entire crank/rod/piston system is not counter-balanced, which leads to vibration, which leads to wear, which leads to BOOM

    pull a compression test
    do a leak down test

i'd probably go with hmotors over someone claiming 50K on the clock.
at least they have a good reputation

Yea, you guys are probably right about just buying from Hmotorsonline, an extra $1k is a small price to pay for something that will probably last a lot longer. $3k + shipping is out of my price range right now but I think I can get my Dad to spot me the money until I can repay him.

Just a question, if I swapped in the b18c1 I've been wanting all along, how hard would it be to add A/C? My car being a dx obviously doesn't have A/C. Would it be a pain in the ass?

about the same pain in the ass as adding it in right now on your d15b.

    totally not worth it.

buy an a/c car if you want a/c.

I figured as much. Meh, I can live without A/C, it never really gets that hot up here anyways.

Are the CTR N1s balanced, I have an Unorthodox pulley on my B16, I cut/ground the extra ribs/pulley for A/C and P/S, so its probably not balanced any more.

Lucky bastard. I think I'd die down here without a/c. You just raised a question as far as I am concerned though, and forgive the slight thread massaging here, but when switching over from a D to a B, if your car already has a/c, is there anything you have to do to it? Is there any switching over of any parts or is it still all plug and play?

    no, they aren't.

    here's 2 examples why:
Honda-Tech.com: Forced Induction: CTR crank pulley responsible for destruction?
Honda-Tech.com: All Motor: ATTN: CTR pulley owners!!

all you need is the proper mount for the compressor, depending on the motor.
