Uhhh no. The engine is not a Mercedes.

And in max towing configuration it'll pull about 7000 lbs. Rubicon is less.

Been topless for a couple days. Need to get a hoist in the garage to make it easier to take off and put on. And that's the front trail cam. Came standard with the towing package.

So far so good. A little chilly going to work at 6am but it's perfect on the way home.

5000 mile update. This thing is a blast.

So far I've been stuck in the mud once. And ripped the electrical connector out of the transfer case once. Somehow got a branch wedged up in the skid plate and it acted as a fulcrum and yanked the wiring out of the connector. But I know a guy and it didn't cost me anything.

Only complaint is it needs more power. Plenty of options there, just a matter of money. 6.4 crate motor can be had for about 8 grand. Hellcat for 25 lol. Most swap kits are for automatics so there's that...

One kid graduating and off to college and one getting married so 2020 is pretty full. May finally build a bigger garage in the fall and then I'll have room to play. Wife is on board if I can include new kitchen cabinets into the garage budget lol.

I forgot how enjoyable it is shifting gears for myself every day.

Wife bought me a sunshade. Once I threw out the Chinese instructions it went on in about 5 minutes.

First time I've had the windshield down, but I drove it to work without doors and top a couple days last week. It's a little rowdy at freeway speeds. Not having the mirrors bothers me a bit. Plenty of aftermarket options though.

Overall, this thing is a blast.

I found this sort of interesting. Gives you an idea of the complexity that is involved in building a vehicle.

I'm the powertrain launch guy on the (union ) production side for the next gen GC. Think FCA SUV. I know we have a Honda engineer on the site here and I argue all day with guys like him about how their parts aren't f'in feasible in a volume production environment.

I'm gonna be working 7 days a week for about 3 years at the rate we're launching this thing.

Love being inside automotive plants. And yeah vehicle launch teams are no joke. The pace you guys roll at is insane.

That is a great video you posted. Thanks for sharing!
