p28 and p75

me and my buddy just finished a 96 LS swap into my 93 SI. Everything is working fine. but i had one question. The SI ecu is a p28 and the LS is a p75. Could i still use the p28 to run the LS engine?????
 
how poorly will it perform. Cause im using the p28 right now. and my check engine light comes on, but the car runs fine. Is it looking for a vtec code or something??? I guess i should get a p75. Just have to find one!!!
 
Yes...the ecu will look for vtec...that's why its throwing a code.

If you cant find a P75 or dont want to spend too much money just to get rid of the CEL. Email me, rtzcom@yahoo.com. We can get you a really nice custom program for the P28 that will run your car nicely and we will also disable VTEC so you wont get that annoying code.
