    i Need some direction

hey i got a 97 sol vtec with the b16a2 the ecu was a p30.
i am looking to buy a new ecu and have been looking online for chipped ecu's
i found a chipped p28 for relatively cheep, new not used

besides being an obd1 ecu what is the difference between the my p30 and this one???

would it be benificial or harmful to put in a chipped p28 ecu or should i go for the original type???

    any responce will help

The P30 is OBD1 just like the P28. I'd chip the ECU you already have and use it.

    I 2nd that. My '95 JDM B16A SiR-II runs off my chipped p30.

Plus, p28's lack a knock sensor board.
