    So i have a 4dr and im trying to decide on what color to paint it. I just repaird the rear qtr panals so it needs paint soon. Shes just chillin in primer. I thought about a flat black with a clear coat. But also type R yellow is very sexxy on an EF. Just give me some ideas plese. Or inpute.....

    I'd go with the flat black with a flat clear coat.

    im really leaning towards that. it will all be sprayed with a gun to so you wont see any lines from a can.

    The clear coat is where the shine comes from, if you spary it flat, then clear it, it wont be flat anymore, it will be semi-gloss/satin black.

    You can flatten clear coat. But REAL car paint comes in clear that YOU flatten. The auto store sells satin and other clear SPRAY PAINT. Big difference....

    that's what I mean, just like real car paint comes where YOU have to add the hardener and thin it out before you use it

    Nah, you gotta do it right, skimping out on the clear coat is terrible and the paint will never lasr.

    well considering a lot of people doing flat black without any clear at all, i'd say it's a little better.... but you're right.
