I've never ventured off into the turbo world, but my current job as a pepsi truck driver has me wondering.. Is there an easy/cheap way to bump up the boost a turbo delivers to the motor? My truck is slow as ass and refuses do to 70mph. 66mph is all it can do. I figured a couple more pounds of boost will get me to the speed limit and make my traveling a little quicker. No, its not bouncing off of a governer or anything.

I'm hoping there is a little screw adjustment somewhere, but I think that'd be too easy.

I think the motor is a detroit diesel 488 or something like that.

Just buy a cheap manual boost controller and splice it into the wastegate reference line. You can also build a MBC out of Home depot parts. Search around www.homemadeturbo.com for DIY boost controller. Don't bother making a new post, most of the members there are retards these days, but there is some good home-brew shit in the archives.
