    my hb!
well, this morning i noticed that whenever i press the clutch pedal down there's a squeeking sound coming from the engine bay. i checked the clutch cylinder and the clutch lines everything seems to be fine. i was by myself so i couldn't see where the squeeking was coming from. has this happend to anyone?? car is running good though.

another question: i just bought a short shifter for an integra. i've been using a d series short shifter on the b series tranny/shift linkage and it feels loose, 4th gear is at where neutral should be. I was hoping the problem is because of the shifter??

    thanks!
    chris

I had the same squeaking problem on my ek. I never really found out what the noise came from, but it didn't do any harm.

Just put a new engine and trans in your car, it fixed the squeaking for me.

it is the clutch fork in the trans that hold the throuhout bearing...the pivot point in the trans is what squeaks..it is no big deal....usually with a heavier clutch it adds more stress on that point and makes it noisy. my accord is doing that and so is my civic (both have Maxx pressure plates for ACT with 4 puck clutch) but it is no big deal.
