messed around with it some more right now... got 7 tracks, a bunch of repeating loops...
i'm still off on my timing on a couple things, and i'm still overloading the input... still need to tweak my volumes and settings some more.
anyway, here's what i was just messing with... no edits, just a quick run through... lots of errors...

no, i haven't done anything like that... for right now, im more learning how to use the thing than anything else. nothing i've played yet is going to be on the cd more than likely.. i'm just f'in around with some crap... trying to dial in the tones and see what I can do with them.
so far, i've done 0 mastering. all tones are coming from my line6 pod

I like the first 15 seconds a lot. I can't put my finger on what it reminds me of, but it distinctly reminds me of a band that I like.
I don't know what I'm feeling here, if its a metallica mixed with POD and system of a down, or what the hell it is that I'm associating the music with.

About the timing, are you using a click track?
I thought Will was the last person on HS to use dialup.
i cleaned up the track and re-did a lot of it... couple lead sections, sounds cleaner.

Hahaha. I know. It fucking sucks. I'm literally surrounded on all sides by agriculture. There are a lot of Diamond nuts and Sunsweet orchards around. I could WiFi, but fuck that.

like i said before, this is just messing around... its not one of the songs i plan on recording in any way shape or form... it was set up for testing the software and trying to clean up the sound a little bit.

i had a killer lead tone set up and sounded awesome in my head phones....
but in production to the mp3, it sounds like absolute dog shit and nothing like it sounded in my monitors. i dunno wtf happened.

These riffs and sections are the outline of an upcoming full track. i tracked a couple vocal lines but being late, i was real quiet... and well, i can't sing for shit when i don't put any volume behind it... so no vox track on this... and quite frankly, it needs to be arranged better to fit around the vocals more. i need to spend more time tracking the songs and following my lyrics more than just getting riffs down.
anyway, this is more the style of what i'm going to be doing on the CD than the other stuff you've heard so far.
