Handlng one, let alone actually using one is an awesome intese powerful feeling. Unfortunately, it's illegal for me to use or touch a firearm, yes, literally. :(

Nice one. How accurate is it what are your groupings?

I can't WAIT til I turn 21 and can buy my own guns I've always shot my dad's gay ass Bersa .40 S&W pistol, it's cheap and very inaccurate, has trouble hitting a man-size target at about 20 feet.

I liked the Taurus Millenium compact 9mm better, I was able to hit the target in the head consistently even rapidly empty a magazine within a 6 inch group, and it was a 4" barrel. Same distance.

I have my eyes on a Desert Eagle .50 caliber action express (for the intimidation), a H&K USP Compact .40 (concealable), and a Colt 1911A1 .45 (badass American classic). Maybe a Beretta 9mm. Then I'm going to have them customized like all the internals polished and restored to new condition, custom night sights on all of them, and probably my signature neatly and cleanly engraved on all the grips and the inside of the slides so if they get stolen they can be recovered. And the Desert Eagle will be pimped either full chrome or gold :D.

Just hope that mental-illness law being discussed doesn't pass before I'm 21 cause I'm bi-polar but I know better than to get off my meds.

Very nice. Must suck to have to get a permit first though. I bought my gun in march, brought it home, took it to the firing range, brought it back, and two months later finally got my license for it.

So..... I really hope you reconcider buying a firearm. Buying a gun for "intimidation" proves beyond a doubt that you have should never at any point own a firearm.

corvetteguy78 I am digging the new piece. What kinda rig did you get? Or where you wanting to CC at all? A buddy of mine just picked up a 4" Springfield XD .45 He is headed back to Iraq in a week so I will be holding onto it until he gets back :D Post up some pictures of the target when you get a chance. I want to see how well it shoots.

a gun by itself is no more dangerous than the remote control to your TV or the keyboard you are typing on
its the person holding it that can make it something dangerous

im guessing you have little to no exposure to guns and would bet that is the rout of your fear

my friends wife was terrified of guns until she learned about them, was exposed to them, and shot one... now she loves them, goes shooting whenever she gets a chance, owns/carries one, and is looking to get more

Don't know if it's ever occurred to you that in the case you find somebody's trying to break into your house or steal your car or just fuck with you, with a Desert Eagle .50 action express you can like fire one shot in the air and the first thought that would come to their mind is "I ain't fuckin with that guy" :). Putting a bullet in them would be unnecessary.

Plus it's just a BAD ASS gun.

And I don't know how to multi-quote, but whoever was saying something about getting a permit yea that's just something I LOVE about Texas, don't need any kind of documentation to own any kind of fire-arm, except a post 1986 (I believe that's the right date) machine gun. Here you only need a permit to distribute firearms.

That's dumb. You'd just make yourself deaf with a hole in your roof. IMO, the Desert Eagle is highly overrated. Only thing special about it is it's a big semi-automatic pistol(and there's a reason a lot of big-name manufacturers don't go over .45 for semi-auto pistols). The real "bad ass" pistols fire .454 Casull, .460 Mag/XVR, .50 Mag etc....They're used for dropping large "game" and farm use.

For home defense, the racking of a shotgun has the same effect(unless it's a semi-auto one).
