Port And Polishing d16y8 head

My Friend Has a d16y8 engine in his car and he wants to port/polish the head cuz he dont want to spend all the money to swap the engine.Is it really worth it to spend all the money port/polishin the head? how much power do you really get for all that $$?

what else is done to the engine?? if he doesn't have a bunch of other mods, the porting won't do a hell of a lot.
its probably about 500 for a good port job right??
he should save up and he should do a swap if he wants to go fast.

what about if he had like every bolt-on other than forced induction would it be worth it? I was wondering the same
