Anyone who says pellet choice doesn't matter doesn't know WTF they are talking about.

True, your stove WILL burn just about anything. But the fact that it catches fire is not the point. The heat output ranges greatly. And the amount of ash produced varies as well. More ash = more cleaning = more wear and tear

I burned hammers a few years ago and they were pretty good. I've heard they've gone downhill a bit since, but I have no first hand with them.
642 is pretty good. usually 275 ish a ton + 50 for delivery is right on the mark.
They are generally smaller in size physically, so you may need to pull the feed gate in a bit so you don't over-feed (and waste fuel)

Maine's CHOICE suck.
Maine's Woods are decent. their 60/40 softwood blend is better than their pure hardwood.
