My cousin had a 400W IIRC hooked up for a PS2 in his Lancer; seemed to work fine.

Edit: Just saw some figures for the PS2; and it says the power consumption is around 45W.

Is that all your ever gonna want to run is a video game system? if so one the small ones that you can plug into a cig lighter works fine, had one in my car for years with the original huge ps2. if you plan on running a refrigerator well your gonna need a little bit more.

yeah all im gonna run is a game system. i have limited room in my truck (1995 Ford Ranger, regular cab) so im trying to find a thin gaming system to put in it. im thinking of the Wii since i can mount it in my center console along with a controler(s). IF i do the ps2 its gonna get mounted in the glovebox because of the way you have to put the games in. thanks for the info all!

PS2 slim or Wii? Quite a bit less than 100 watts I would think...

There are quite a few good Wii games that don't need you to act like an epileptic to play them.
