Just got hold of a set of PR3 pistons I want to put into my LS motor. I did some searching and can't find a very general answer. Is pulling the motor required to swap the pistons, and is this something where I can change JUST the pistons?

You can do it in the car, but why? Limited space, mobility, and if you find that you need something else done, like aforementioned honing, you have to pull it anyway.
