The F23A in my '99 5-speed CL 2.3 lost compression in a cylinder. I am about to buy a used JDM F23A to swap in. I've made a checklist of stuff to do while the engine is out along with the swap. If someone can take a look at the list and see if I'm missing anything, or something that I should also do while the engine is out, I would greatly appreciate it.
-Replace timing belt
-Replace water pump
-Replace clutch/flywheel
-Replace rear main oil seal
Oh and I have a couple of questions regarding the actual swap if someone can help me out:
-Will I have problems passing emissions in NY with a JDM F23A?
-Are there any parts that I should take off the blown motor that are worth something?
