prime oil pump

    Hey guys I'm building a b 18 and I need to no how to prime the oil pump its my first honda motor ... Thanks

    Use assembly lube on everything when you assemble the engine. Lucas is good as are other brands. Be sure and douch up the oil pump real good with assembly lube when you put it together.

    Install engine and connect everything up, wiring, hoses, exhaust, linkage, cables. Fill it with oil and coolant.

    WITHOUT SPARK PLUGS INSTALLED, connect up the battery and crank it over until the OIL light goes out, it takes about 1 1/2 to 2 minutes.

    Done. Ready to run. Don't forget to set the valve clearance.
