primer color

hi, im gettin ready to do the bodywork on my honda and i need to know what color i should prime it. im gettin the car repainted white, so i didnt know if i should primer it grey or what. any help would be appreciated. thanks... i also heard about tintable primer, but didnt know much about that either. any info on that would be helpful too.

you can primer it whatever color you want. you can use tintable primer or just a flat paint which is what most people use as color primer. the tintable primer you can only tint it 10% before its considered a flat paint. heres a picture of my 97 Honda Civic i had that i had green tinted primer:

If you want to change the color of the primer a little for a second coat, can you mix a little basecoat in there with it?
