Well im in the process of primering my car and i was wondering if I leave the engine bay primer would it affect heat under the hood at all?

Ive heard both that it will help keep it cooler cause it absorbs heat better and that It doesnt dissapate heat as good so it will be hotter.

Anyone have a clue?

Heat will eventally wear the protection that is on the metal & corrosion will apear if your driving in wet conditions & salt(sand) even worse. But if your in a clean state, you'd be OK 4 a little bit, but I'd still want top coat protection preferrably clearcoat cause it controls all elements very well. The more the better, 4 clear atleast.Color is color. Clear is protection. Don't get me wrong, it has to be primed properly 4 that foundation & 3 coats of cleAR is sufficient 4 bay.
