Problems w/ shift boot

my shift boot is not connected to where its supposed to be anymore. theres two latches in the front that came off. and i dont know how to take apart the center console to fix it. does anyone know how to take the part in the console where the shiftboot is off?????if you do that would be great, so in the future i know how to take it apart so i can put a short shifter kit in

you don't have to take the shift boot off to take off the center console. To take off the center console, unscrew the screws thats on the 2 sides of the center console, starting from the handbrake piece if I remember correctly. Once you take off your center console you'll see how the shiftboot is latched on and you should be able to fix it.

You DO NOT have to take off your center console to install your short shifter. Short shifter installation is done all under the car.
