so I come home and spend some more time with my non working PS3 :(
After no luck with the settings and connections i give up and go to my pc in the other room.

after browsing online I felt like relieving some stress anndddd bam. fucking virus strikes and thats it.:mad::mad::mad::mad:

so now I cant open any windows without it wanting me to download a antivirus software. just because it's constantly opening and everything i try to do either points me back to the virus scanner window or if i want to run something else it says its infected and cannot open it.

    WTF mannn.

no ps3, sucky tv shows, no wifey to relieve some stress and now my PC is not working!!!! arghhhhhh

    any ideas?

do a search for the name of the fakeware. you may have to make some registry edits to kill the process from loading at start up. I just cleaned my brother machine that had a similar infection.

    what version of windows?

    here a few suggestions:

1)- go to safe mode with networking and try connecting to the internet.
1a) - if 1 doesnt work, try logging in as admin by enabling it in safe mode or creating another account with admin rights.
1b)- if neither works, find a working computer such as library, school, friend etc and connect to the internet and bring a flash drive.
    2) - download superantispyware and malwarebytes and install.
    3) - reboot into safe mode and run 1 then reboot and run the other.
    4) - last resort, back up all info onto another pc or external hard drive. clean install OS.

if youre running windows, i recommend a clean install once a year if you use it a lot, especialyl if youre installing and uninstalling often.

ok so far ive got as far as loading up spybot S&D on a flash drive and am now installing it on my pc in safe mode. it was the only way. The virus wasn't allowing me to run it in normal mode.

stay tuned. If it works i'll load up the other superspyware.

by the way the virus keeps wanting me to download antispyware soft so if you guys get a pop up with that name BEWARE!

This is what ate my shorts about 6 months ago, took me a good three days to get that stupid thing out of the registry because absolutely none of my anti virus scanners would work.

    ewww. ate your shorts?

well i thought all was great and it seems to be gone. The problem i'm having now is that i cant log on to the internet...weird. I have connection and it will let me open up my home page gmail account and even log in. beyond that and it says it could not connect.

think i should install and run the other antimalware poducts just to be safe?

in IE go to tools\internet options

    connections tab

click on the LAN settings button

unclick the proxy server checkbox. MAKE SURE IT IS UNCHECKED. then click automatically detect settings checkbox up top.

click OK, OK, close IE and reopen it. try other sites.

Ehh, give it a try, you might like it. It only feels like a "military type game" when you're playing the campaign. On multiplayer it's just fun...
