What psi would be good for a 13x8x22 MT drag slick?
I went to the test + tune last night but only got a few runs in.
I started at 19,lbs and got down as far as 17,lbs. best 60ft was 1.98. How low should I go? I was actually slower on the 1/4 by .01
Just want to be ahead of the game for next time so not wasting time.
    Thx.

Really depends on the track, your suspension, your launching style- tons of factors. You might talk to the guys at the strip you race at to see how they do on their slicks- they'll know best for that location.

As for the .01 slower time, that could be as simple as a slightly slower shift down the track..

heck, .01 could be down to track temperature, head wind, a twitch off the line, a million things.

8-10 psi is where I put pressure at on a slick.

Thanks for the replies, was running a 21.5 x 8 x 13 road course tire on a stock 5.5" honda rim, so figured the gains from a real slick on a legit 7" wide rim would be a 10th or so???
So was surprised at a slower ET and MPH. Thx for the advice on the Psi will start there and see what works best for my set up and conditions.
