Your mech is a douche. You have a DX, then a MPFI swap has to be done first, then the engine swap. After that you can use your MPFI distributor on the D15b and just have to run a few wires for vtec. Convert to OBD1 or run a OBD0 pr3 with a fuel pressure regulator to lean back the fuel some.

Yeah your 90 is OBD0 BTW...he sounds like a douche to me....

if you got the 92-95 d15b you need to convert to obd1 and mpfi and then your set

    Use a p08 or p28 ecu. Also, you'll need an obd1 distributor...

you will need the mpfi conversion done first before u can even do ANYTHING with your car, then if u want vtec connected the right way u need a obd0 to obd1 jumper harness and a obd1 distributor.
Cut the plugs from an 88-91 si dizzy and the harness and put those plugs on the obd1 dizzy
use p28 ecu with snap onto your jumper harness.
depending on what obd that motor is u might need your old alternator because plugs withh me diferent.

oh and when u do the mpfi swap get all your wires extended so u can do a mini wire tuck JMO

You dont have to convert to Obd1 to run a Sohc vtec in a 88-91 civic. Most do it if theyer polanning on tuning their engine. Its not a must have, must do.

The only OBD0 ECU that can control VTEC is the B16 ECU; so you would have to tune it either way. Best to convert to OBD1 and run a similar ECU(P28) or the correct one(P08); plus it's easier to convert those to the correct maps anyway by chipping.

The JDM D15B VTEC comes with a OBD1 distributor.

Sup everyone. Im not trying to Thread Jack here but i just joined and I can not post a Thread of my own. So first question is why (i think i have to post a few replies in order to activate this feature)? Next question if someone would not mind answering is what is the best place to get my ECU chipped. I have a P28 that I want to use with my JDM D15B swap. from what i read it seems i would be fine with just the P28 but might run rich. If there is a good place out there that anyone knows of please let me know. I am not trying to Race this car I just want the car to get the best MPG that it can and also have a little extra hp so i can still play with the local ricers. Im a noob here and any help would be greatly appreciated.
