I have a b20 block and Im putting a b16 head on it.
Which gasket and timing belt do I need for this set up?
B16 gasket and timing belt?
or
B20 gasket and timing belt?
where can I get dowels?

Thanks in advance ;)

I think it is the B20 gasket that you use.

Timing belt depends on the water pump - for B20 water pump use b20 timing belt, for b16, gsr, itr, ctr, etc water pump use the appropriate belt for that water pump.

You need B16 or GSR head studs (believe B-Series VTEC studs are the same). You cannot use B20 studs and DO NOT re-use OEM bolts, just get new ARP's or something.

I thought you always wanted to use the same gasket as the head your using

Not sure about the gasket, but Matts96HB is right. The timing belt depends on what oil and water pumps you go with. If you use VTEC oil and water pumps then use a VTEC timing belt, other wise use the standard B20 belt. Im not sure that you can mix and match a VTEC oil/water pump with a non-VTEC oil/water pump, maybe someone else knows for sure.

B16 and GSR head studs are different length. Get a set to match your head.

Yeh, you use the head gasket to match the block. A buddy of mine just did an LS-VTEC build, bored over.. he used a b20 head gasket with a b16 head and the car runs just fine.
