Pretty sure the non vtecs are interchangable, the problem comes when you try a vtec on a nonvtec head, because of where they bolt on, and the solenoid.
 
thats what I thought, the problem is...soemguy i know needs oe and wants to buy mine, but i don't wanna shaft him if it doesn't jive!

it will work, d series is all interchangeable, v tec or non v tec. ive done it on my CX hatch :) it was obd 1 too for the record

They are not all interchangeable. It depends on where the spark plugs are, rear of VC or forward.

hmm ok, i believe ya, you dont see too many of the plugs behind up here, all d series that ive tuned for ppl have all been up front! good point though, ill ad it too my notebook! :)
