I have a 96 civic ex, i dont' know too much about hondas and i have a couple of possibly stupid questions. Will a d15b trans work on a d16y8 no prob? and are all d16y8's the same whether it was 96-98,99-00? I saw an engine out of a 99 ex and wanted to know if it would work on my 96 without a hitch. any feedback would be appreciated.

thanx for the help. Are the d15 trans better geared/more reliable/etc compared to the y8 or are they basically the same?

The gears are a tad longer on the 15b, but hardly noticeable for the average driver. So basically same shit.
