radio troubleshooting

i have recently aquired an acura legend
it had some speedometer problems which were fixed but now the radio stopped working and an anti theft light is flashing

my question is, do i need some a code to reactivate it?
also, how would i enter this code?

yes you need a code

if you have the manual for the car check and see if the previous owner wrote it in there... or call the dealership they should be able to get it for you

or just upgrade to an aftermarket radio

unfortunately i dont have the manual but i will go ahead and cotanct an acura dealership for the code

ye i called em and they wanted likr 50$ for the service

i remember reading a post that i cant find right now where they called a dealership and they gave em the code over the phone.

also im fairly certain but not 100% that i would have to remove the head unit in oirder to get the serial number
could some1confirm this?

if so, then can any1 give me a basic rundown of how to remove it and whether i have to keep it that way to get the theft code
