Does using a real estate agent make it more expensive to buy a house/condo/townhouse?
 
What you'll see (More than likely... depends on your state to be exact) is that the Agent that you're using will take 2.5%. Varies per state though.

If you're going to be charged, they have to be upfront with it. Some states do charge the buyer.
 
Not necessarily, normally commisions are through the seller, however, there are instances where the buyer will pay a "finders" fee to their realtor if they are using a buying realtor.
