Real Quick Question.....

1992 prelude, 4 wheel steering, doesnt say s, si, or anyhting. which engine does this car have in it. i looked in the reference and it lists an f series, and two h series. i know it is not vtec. just wanna make sure before i go buying shit. :wacko: lol thanks

It can't be a VTEC, they didn't hit the States till 93.

First way: Look at the valvecover. Is it a dual-cam or a single-cam valve cover (one "lump" or two)? If it's one, it's the F22A1 (SOHC). If it's two, it's the H23A1 (DOHC).

Or, look at the engine code stamped on the block next to where the tranny mounts up. It'll list one of the two engine codes I just mentioned.

ahh okay its the h23 then, i didnt realize that the f series was a single cam motor. that sure makes it easy!! thanks for the help
