Hey there,

I'm considering turbo charging a stock b18b motor, nothing to crazy, i'm looking in the range of a 40% increase in power so maybe 6-8 psi. I dont want to spend $1000's on a brand new kit when I've heard its possible to turbo my motor by using a turbo from a DSM or something...do these turbos come with internal wastegates?

I figure I'd also need/want

1. turbo manifold
2. a BOV
3. small intercooler (DSM or SR20?)

Also I'm not sure what to do about piping.

will I need any Electronics, since I dont plan on boosting this motor too hard?

Any advice would be appreciated, thanks

Here is what I am planning for my LS-T setup:

Intercooler (can be had for around 200 for a ok full length)
Intercooler Piping (Custom, check out your local exhaust shops)
Intercooler Piping Couplers/Clamps (home depo trip)
Air Filter (K&N)
Turbo (t3/4 is what you should look for, internal wastegate)
Turbo Manifold (a log style would work well for a low cost)
Oil lines
Blow Off Valve DSM
Fuel Injectors DSM
Uberdata
Intank Fuel Pump (Walbro)

Yes you absolutely need a fuel management system. In mininual terms a vafc-hack, but for the same price you can get uberdata EMS software + setup so I would always go that route. You should also get some gauge to monitor you stuff: Vacuum+Boost / Oil /Engine Temp.

I agree with beerbongskickass. While you are there look for that DSM stuff and if you can score a starion intercooler that will also save on cost. If you want an easy time find that stuff hit up ebay its easy to find there.

Thanks for the replies...

DSM injectors will fit on a honda fuel rail?

what is a t3/4 or t3 turbo off of?DSM?
