YES THATS RIGHT THE LS MOTOR IS BACKK...new block though...

can anyone recommend some good quality pistons for a ls/vtec all motor setup?

another question I have is if I dont have the vtec head on there now....(right now is a 99 ls head, port and polish, 3 angle valve job) is there going to be any problems with the pistons I choose/ future problems when the vtec head is swapped in?

I'm assuming All motor combination.

you have many choices to choose from depending on what your goals are.
Im also assuming you are not sleeving but just putting in 81.5mm pistons.

you can go with CTR, ITR or B16 OEM Pistons.
CTR of course for a compression about 12:1
to a more conservative compression of about 11:1 with ITR or B16 pistons.

It all depends on what you are going to use the car for. I suggest the ITR or B16 pistons for a basic daily driver. If you want low maintenance and longevity, then go this route. There will be no valve clearnace problems with a VTEC head or LS head if you keep it standard size valves.

I think we have some pictures of LS block with ITR pistons in our archives. Let me post some up to show what you are expecting.

:werd:

I was just throwing that up there because of UDT e-teabagging you guys in the thread.

:p

all t-bagging aside....

jdm p30's from the b16 sir2 is the way to go cheaply IMO.
they bolt right onto the stock LS rods and will put right about 11:1.
they will easily put 160~ish who out with some headwork and crower 403's

those are some sexy header(s) (because there are more than one on the page not because there would be more than one on my car, so im not mistaken with the local riceboy who would refer to the header on your car as headers) :worthy: , what kind of gains would you get over say, a regular Itr header or other aftermarket 4-2-1, or 4-1 header?
