ok maybe im retarded or something but i just bought a new flywheel, now do i need to have anything done to it before i have it installed?

You may have had the idea of "resurficing" it in your head. its a common thing to do to used flywheels IE one thats been beat on.

just make sure you get a new pilot bearing, they are cheap and you might aswell replace it, also consider a clutch upgrade if you thing you'll be using more power in the future along with that consider a new throwout bearing also.

make sure to have the flywheel surfaced at a GOOD machine shop. Honda flywheels have to have equal surfaces for the contact on the pressure plate. Definately put a pilot bearing in there while it's out

You don't need to surface a new flywheel.
