Relocating the O2 sensor

Okay, i am running an ITR cat which places the O2 sensor right next to the shift linkage causing the 2 to rub together. I feel that eventually the O2 sensor will be damaged and throwing codes, which i dont want to happen.

Anyone know what i could do to eliminate the rubbing?

Anyone know how to relocate the O2 sensor if necessary?
 
Got ya, the easier thing I can think of is weld a new bung in a different location and weld the original hole shut.
 
is this a hard task for a shop to do? i called the shop that did my swap and they said it was time consuming. from the description of the work i just got here it looks easy.
 
they said it was time consuming? jesus

they could just throw a plug in the old bung, then all they need to do is drill a new hole, and MIG a new bung to the top- it shouldn't take long for a shop to do at all
 
Half and hour, maybe fortyfive minutes.
