Removal of A/C

Being a newb, would I be able to remove the air conditioning to a 5th generation Civic, or would this be better left to the mechanic?

Just start taking all of the AC shit out, its not hard. Compressor, condensor, hard lines etc. Leave the box under the dash if you still want a fan and I put tape over where the hard lines go through the firewall to keep moisture out of the evaporator in case I ever want to go back to AC.
