Removing The Power Steering Belt

    My friend told me that if you remove the power steering belt then it like gives you 10 hp instantly.....i was wondering if this was true or not.......

    doubt its 10hp

    but it does free up some hp that normally would be wasted spinning the PS pump

    The only time that is going to be beneficial to you is if you have a full track car, and you want that 1 extra hp (maybe 1 hp) in order to save maybe a tenth of a second on the lap. Keep the belt if you are dd'ing the car, and make power somewhere else.

    +1 for keeping it. My car didn't come with it stock, but I wish it did. Boy did I.

    baby. my DX didnt come with PS and i had much heavier tires on the front compared to you :)

    take the belt off. fuck it. while you are at it, loop the hoses to the pump and remove the pump and reservoir.
