what resistance does the knock sensor have? i need to bypass my knock sensor and don't want to chip the ecu

Why not? it is a simple and painless procedure, and your car will be better tuned for it!
 
I could be wrong on this reason why simple resistor would probably not work. A *knock* sensor probably is some type of a pulse sensor, creates a pulse for every knock, a resistor doesn't make any pusles.
 
It is some sort of microphone that the computer uses to listen for certail telltale harmonics of a detonating motor.
