Ok i just slapped the head back on after a head gasket change, i didnt feel the cam gear after i tool the belt and rocker arms off. So here i am tq the rocker arms down and the gear gets upber stiff almost as if somethings binding. I wanna be shure that its suposed to get super stiff with no play clockwise or reverse. Its just it seems really stiff is all. I dont wanna tq it all town and goudge anything or even worse try and start it and run it like that.
Also can any one explain to me why it even needed to come off for a head gasket?
Would it be because of warping the head or something by having the bolts for the rockers still in and what ever when tq the head bolts down? I just couldint see a need for it other then that, and i dont even know if thats valid but its all i could come to.
