Honestly he is to old. And for a lot of the hardcore GOP he is a no go because of his stances on defense.

I agree with some things he has ideas for, but like Drake said, his defense ideals kind of push him aside.

    i'll vote for him.

too old? have any of you guys seen the popes?
the current one is 84 years old.

ron paul is 75. i think theres plenty of life in there.
and, i think its a good thing to be so old because he can make the radical changes, what are they going to do? he's already standing in deaths doorway.

    he has my vote.

he only has to last four to eight years. he's got better chances of surviving than obama does

errr, we are broke.. and we do have people all over the place. seems like a good way to save some cash to me.

Good luck to him, he is much better than anyone who has ran in years. A lot of people said Mccain was too old and voted for obama. So it will probably deter some people.

an "exploritory committiee" does not mean he's actually running. This is just a 'should we run' research team.

I agree he is too old. He was 76 last time around, this will make him 80 for 2012. 84? hell, 88? Sure, he might be alive (he seems to be in overall good health) but once that 80 mark hits, the brain starts to go bad. forgetful, slowing down, etc etc, and someone who doesnt remember the cold war one minuet and doesn't know where he is the next should not be the one with keys to nucs.

I guess it really depends on who his VP turns out to be. There's very good odds the VP will be the president if paul is elected.

Unfortunately, i doubt he has a chance. The 'tea party' has just gone too radical, and he's still labeled as its father even though he really has nothing to even do with it any more. He'll get soem votes, and win some straw polls, but come election day, I personally don't think he has a chance.

Ron Paul still seems much younger and sharper than Juan Mccain did.

The sad part if he ran independent he would end up taking republican votes giving obama more of an edge.

I'd vote for him. Depending on the Republican candidate, I might not vote at all. I'm sick of attempting to pick the lesser of two evils... and I've only voted twice.

i really do just wish ron paul was younger. i was talking to the wife about this last night.

i'd vote for him in a heart beat if he was in his 60s.

Sure the guy is old, but he was a doctor, and apparently he was athletic in his youth, so if he's maintained himself properly, I don't believe he's "too old."

As long as he picks a good VP, I definitely wouldn't care if he's too old.
