Well, regarding that one post where I bought a shit load of tools...well....:D

    I'm actually using them....and they kick ass...

After getting a quote from the guy that was about to get the red Z rebuilt... one of his prices just didn't sit right with me, I asked around, and I was about to get janked for a lot of money. So I'll just do it myself.

First...I need a "Rot is Sorry" stand.

well, played around today, and got the first welds done...they came out better than I thought they would. I went and got my neighbor, and had him sit on one arm, and I sat on the other arm...so it held up as is for 400lbs..

then I stood on it completely and took a picture... 8)

soda blasting about twice, frame rails and floor re-enforcement to handle the RB25DET...., I'll play around with making up a suspension system that will kick ass, add a cage, do other body work that's better for my back, and completely done to aircraft quality....I"ll have a garage queen that's not hacked together or overpriced...

your welds are getting better! just need some gas now and you will REALLY improve.

once you get some gas you'll never go back to that pop-rock shit. i wish i didnt run out of it but im too lazy to get my tank refilled.

How many amps is your welder? and it looks like you did a nice job avoiding the splatter associated with flux core welding. I just built an exhast for my car on saturday and the welds didn't look nearly that good.

    Sweet! looks good man!

If your worried about strength of the welds dont grind the welds, it makes them weaker!

Went shopping this morning....spent most of the morning looking around at the steel place. $200 gone...but I have enough to finish the rotis, and build up a mini-welding table....crouched over on the floor all day welding suck's...

Tomorrow I might go grab a bottle of gas.

Well today was pretty much a cutting and prepping the metal for welding, I thought I'd do one weld...turned out alright, I stopped mid way one one pass... , but the rest of the welds look sweet. Had to make the stands a little taller...^_^
