s1 tranny help!!

    i have a s1 transmission that i got w/a motor(b17a1)...i dont knoe if it is the jdm s1, or the usdm s1...can any one help??i can post pics if it will help....the only thing on there was a sticker saying: S1-1078093
    any help would b great!!:D:):)

    I think the JDM and UDSM transmission had the same gear ratios so why do you care? The only thing I can think of is opening it up and counting the teeth to find the actual gear ratios.

    b/c i want to sell it..and the jdm is worth alot more than the usdm tranny...also cus alot of people ask 2 see if its the jdm or not..n i dont know what 2 reply with..

    I found this page: Honda Transmission Specifications - Lonewolf Online

    It appears they did have slightly different ratios, but there isn't really any way to tell them apart from what I know. From my googling it looks like you need to pull it open and count the teeth to see if its a long or short geared tranny. Sorry.

    does the usdm have barcode..and the jdm do not??just a gold sticker??

    Have you tried calling the dealer and giving them the number to see if it came in a US spec car?
